Chapter 754: The Sword Princesss Game ②

At first glance, Sonya seems so romantic, willing to give up her noble title and career for her lover. But from another perspective, if she can make such a huge sacrifice, she must demand a hundredfold return-unless she’s brainless, no one would believe Sonya Therave is the kind of foolish girl who gives without expecting anything in return.
Yet, despite her strong desire for control, she’s still anxious and uneasy. This can only mean one thing: her power is still not enough to control this relationship.
This deduction is enough to narrow down the candidates to the extreme, even to… zero.
In the entire Stars Kingdom, whether in terms of backing or personal strength, the number of people who could make the stretching paw sword saint lose confidence can be counted on one hand. And among those who also meet the other criteria, there’s not a single one.
That’s also why Aisha so easily handed over this information: even the Strategy Group now thinks that ‘Sonya’s boyfriend’ might just be a metaphysical philosophical concept.
But only the three roommates know that Sonya’s boyfriend is real, definitely not a figment of her imagination.
The reason is, these days, Sonya hasn’t been able to see her boyfriend, and her mood has become more and more unpredictable.
At first, they thought it was her period, but the four of them have long since synchronized their cycles, so Sonya has no reason to be early, let alone for it to last more than a month. And this isn’t the first time it’s happened-whenever Sonya can’t log into the Virtual Realm, her mood changes dramatically, perfectly matching all the symptoms of a long-distance relationship.
Compared to believing the boyfriend is imaginary, Lois and the others would rather believe Sonya’s boyfriend is actually the Blade Fish Dragon transformed.
But this time is different. These days, Sonya’s mood has been a roller coaster of anger and joy, to the point where her roommates can’t stand it anymore. To use an analogy, it’s like a tigress in heat being forcibly separated from her mate.
Actually, it’s not hard to guess the truth: Sonya’s relationship had a sudden breakthrough, and then she suddenly couldn’t see her boyfriend for a long time. Anyone would lose it in her place.
That’s why they want to find Sonya’s boyfriend-not for gossip, but just hoping someone can come calm down the red-haired beast in their dorm. Engulite even went to Professor Trozan for help, and the result was that the next day, Trozan’s office was blown up by the two of them’s Swordsmanship Miracles.
“What do we do?” Adelle said worriedly. “She’s almost done training and will be back soon!”
Clap!
Engulite clapped her hands hard. “I have an idea.”
She looked around. “My soul has recovered. From now on, I’ll spend the night at the Meditation Building.”
“I’ll be ready tomorrow too.” Lois nodded. “I’ll go home and hide tonight, and tomorrow I’ll go to the Meditation Building with you.”
“You two bastards!” Adelle gritted her teeth. “So what if you’re sorcerers! Just you wait, I, I… How about you take me with you too, I’ll just find a random room to sleep in.”
“Just kidding.” Lois said, “We still have to solve the problem. If we let Sonya go on like this, who knows what will happen. If we don’t help her vent her pent-up emotions, we’ll suffer even during the day in class, let alone at night.”
Engulite stared at Lois for a while before slowly sitting down and saying, “So you were joking…”
“How do you plan to help her vent her emotions? Sleep in the same bed and have a girls’ heart-to-heart?” Adelle raised her hand. “I can’t do that-not because I’m scared, just that I can’t sleep in the same bed as anyone but my fiancé…”
“Who was it last night who saw Sonya staring at her wooden sword in the middle of the night and got so scared she crawled into my bed?” Lois said.
“You said it was your bed, not mine.” Adelle spread her hands. “Your bed, your rules.”
“I didn’t expect any good ideas from you anyway. Luckily, I’m prepared.” Lois pulled a box out from under her desk. “To deal with a beast, you need a trap.”
The other two looked closely. “Alcohol?”
“What’s better than alcohol to make a beast drop its guard?” Lois said seriously. “When she comes back, we’ll-“
Tap.
When the sound of steel-toed boots echoed on the stairs, it was like a Silence Miracle spreading out, and the entire dormitory building quickly fell silent.
The dorms with closed doors breathed a sigh of relief, while those who hadn’t closed their doors hurried back to their seats, clamped their mouths shut, held their breath, and didn’t dare move.
Tap, tap, tap.
The footsteps landed on the floor as if stepping on everyone’s hearts. The timid ones lay motionless on their desks, while the braver ones only dared to glance at the corridor from the corner of their eyes.
A streak of blood-red drifted down the corridor. When she passed by a dorm with an open door, the Vibration of spellforce stirred up a cold wind that swept through the common room, making everyone shiver and their spines tingle.
Tap, tap, tap.
After the familiar thirty-six steps, the terrifying monster, as always, stopped in front of the dorm room and twisted open the door. When she returned to her lair, the whole dorm building breathed a sigh of relief, and the stagnant air flowed freely again.
“Sonya, you’re back,” Lois greeted.
“Mm, I’m back.”
Her long hair hung loosely behind her, her pretty face bare of makeup, her eyes as lonely as the deep sea, her lips flat and expressionless. The red-haired girl closed the dorm door, put her sword bag by the wardrobe, pulled out a chair, and sat down.
“What’s this?” she pointed at a gold-dusted bronze box on the desk.
“No idea, some gift maze from someone,” Engulite said. “The person who delivered it said the sender’s card is inside the maze box, but you have to solve this expensive, fun maze to find out who it’s from.”
The red-haired girl nodded lightly, then raised her fist.
Bang!
Faced with a full-force blow from a sanctuary sorcerer, the maze box was instantly smashed to pieces, the force so great that fragments even embedded themselves in the desk below. She picked up the card hidden inside and said softly, “Komu Audelis… I’ll remember that.”
With that, she crushed the card to dust between her fingers.
Her roommates silently mourned for the well-meaning but clueless noble-couldn’t you have checked her mood before sending a gift? If you get caught in her wrath, we can’t save you.
“By the way,” Lois pulled out the box of cocktails, “no class tomorrow morning, let’s play a drinking game! It’s never as fun drinking in the secret garden as it is in the dorm.”
“Yeah, yeah!”
“I’m in.”
Adelle and Engulite immediately chimed in.
The red-haired girl slowly turned her head and asked, “What drinking game?”
“Well… how about ‘Never Have I Ever’?” Lois suggested. “Everyone says something they’ve never done. If someone else has done it, they drink. If no one has, the person who said it drinks. How about it?”
It really is a simple but dramatic drinking game. Adelle almost forgot her original goal and nodded repeatedly, shouting to play. Engulite naturally had no objections, and after thinking for a moment, the red-haired girl nodded too.
“I’ll go first then!”
Once the four of them each had a bottle, Lois thought for a moment. She decided not to target Sonya too obviously at first-better to start relaxed and get her in a good mood before going after her.
Let’s start with Sonya’s favorite romance TV drama!
“Never have I ever…” Lois said, “fought another woman over a man.”
