The expressions he saw on Queen Nerith’s face was an expression one would have when they were truly shaken by a realization.
Corey wondered why the queen had such an expression. Knowing that his life depended on the queen’s ability to fight back their enemies, he spoke to her through his mind.
Queen Nerith glanced at him with a slightly taken aback expression, and then she shook her head slightly.
If he had said these words out loud, many would have been shocked and stunned by what he said because they would never expect him to speak in such a manner.
Even Queen Nerith was stunned and could not react for some time because she also did not expect Corey to say such words.
She looked at him with a slight frown, and then she began speaking.
Corey frowned in confusion.
Corey’s eyes suddenly widened in realization.
Queen Nerith frowned deeply, and then she looked at Klaus who had his arms folded and was seemingly okay waiting for them to acclimatize to the environment of the shell world.
Corey frowned with a slightly confused light in his eyes.
Corey asked with narrowed eyes.
Corey’s expression did not change when he heard this since this piece of information did not bother him. He shifted his gaze to Klaus.
He asked once again just to be certain.
Corey’s mind instantly recalled every single word Klaus said back when he was talking, and his eyes narrowed when he recalled a particular sentence, Klaus had said.
----
Although what he knew about world trees was not extensive, he knew that the destruction of a world tree was not a light matter in the slightest.
Corey’s eyes flashed with a calculating light, but just as he was about to continue communicating with Queen Nerith, Klaus spoke.
"I think I’ve given all of you time to make up your mind about what to do. Has any of you changed your mind?"
Klaus stared at Corey once again, and then he shifted his gaze to Pamela, before looking at Jeremy, Elizabeth, Rorik, Mathias, and Caesar.
"None?" He clicked his tongue in disappointment. "That’s a shame."
He pointed a finger at the sky, and then a cold smile appeared on his face as he looked at Corey.
"Then you can die for your foolishness."
A light shot out of his finger, and Corey frowned for a moment. But his frown drastically changed when he saw that the moment the light hit the sky, it spread, and a massive array began to appear in the sky.
"Corey! That’s a large scale teleportation array!" Pamela shouted with urgency in her tone.
She took a step forward and suddenly appeared beside Corey who had an extremely solemn expression.
"They’re bringing more people." She said solemnly, but Corey did not answer.
"No, you don’t!"
Queen Nerith opened her left hand, and a thin bolt of lightning with a whirlwind circling around it appeared in her hand.
Without wasting a single second, she threw it at the array in the sky, but a barrier suddenly appeared in the sky, blocking the attack and preventing the lightning bolt from shattering the array.
"Damn it!" She cursed.
Klaus laughed.
And the array flared to life.
A gigantic portal that seemed to swallw the entire sky appeared above them, and nearly a thousand beings poured out of the sky.
However, this was not what made Corey’s expression fall.
Asides from the hundreds of Tier 6s and Tier 5s that poured out from the portal, two auras that caused the world to groan came out from the portal.
Two bonafide Tier 7s stepped out of the portal.
