Chapter 995 - 992: His True Appearance

"Who are you?"
The moment Klaus Castiel coldly asked this question, everybody’s attention landed on Corey as he stood with one hand placed on Kiefer’s shoulder.
Corey looked at Klaus with a completely indifferent and cold expression. Maybe if he had not seen the members of the Temple of Flames, and Pope Arzhel himself, he would have found this prince of the Supreme God Empire... amusing.
Compared to Eryndor Castiel who was the Crown Prince of the Supreme God Empire, Klaus Castiel felt... lacking.
It felt like he did not have a certain substance that Eryndor Castiel had, and Corey might have decided to look into it out of pure curiosity, but he did not.
His attention was majorly on Pope Arzhel, Tessa, and the remaining members of the Temple of Flames.
He wanted to kill them all today.
"Who-"
"Prince Klaus. I believe I know who that is."
He was about to speak, but to his slight surprise, Pope Arzhel cut him off and spoke instead.
He frowned.
Pope Arzhel was amongst those who stood at the forefront of the army, and Klaus turned and looked at him with surprise.
"Oh? And who is that?"
Pope Arzhel looked at Corey with a light smile, and Corey’s frown deepened.
"I believe his name is Corey."
"Corey?" Klaus furrowed his brows in thought, and he tried to think of anybody special named Corey, but none came to his mind.
He looked at Pope Arzhel. "And? Is he somebody special? How do you know him?"
Pope Arzhel chuckled lightly, and his lips curved up slightly as he stared at Corey whose expression was now one of coldness and pure indifference.
"Of course he’s somebody special. Very special in fact. If you remember, Prince Klaus, there were two prisoners in the Underworld who were treated as abnormalities. A mortal man, and a mystic girl."
Pope Arzhel paused, and Klaus’ eyes lit up in realization. He looked at Corey with wide eyes, but then he frowned and then looked at Pope Arzhel.
"But his face. It’s not similar to the photos I have of him. He looks way too different. Are you sure it’s him?"
Pope Arzhel remained smiling. "Of course. I believe it’s either he’s using a skill to change his appearance. Or he’s using an illusion or something else."
Klaus’ eyes flickered with surprise, suspicion, and disbelief.
"I find that hard to believe. There are many Tier 6s amongst us, and from what I’ve seen even the queen of the silver elves and the others had surprised expressions when you said he was someone else."
"For him to have a skill that can not only fool we Tier 6s, but also Tier 7s? It seems absurd and impossible to be honest."
"I know he’s talented, but for a mortal to be able to deceive an Immortal? That’s impossible."
Pope Arzhel’s shrugged with the same smile. "I know. It’s absurd. But to be honest, if you think about all the things he’s done in the past. In the Underworld, you’ll realize that everything about him does not follow common sense."
"But?" Klaus frowned, and was about to continue speaking. However, Pope Arzhel cut him off.
"Even for me, I can’t see through his appearance, and for a moment, I thought that he was not Corey but somebody else. But then I realized that everybody around him were his friends and companions in the Underworld."
"Those two girls, and the little boy with immense potential you invited. They were all part of the group Divine created in the Underworld. The Breakers. Pamela was also an ally or should I say companion of Corey."
"Since they all know themselves, there’s no way just one stranger would be in their midst, and that little boy is looking up to him?"
"Not only that, the stranger is coincidentally a Tier 3 just like Corey. I’m 99%, no, a hundred percent certain that that mortal... is Corey."
The entire throne room became dead silent, and every gaze instantly landed on Corey whose expression remained cold and utterly indifferent despite the gazes from so many powerful Tier 6s, and even several Immortals.
Even Jeremy, Elizabeth, Rorik, Caesar, Mathias, Pamela, Selene, Kiefer, and Willow were staring at him, wondering what he was going to do.
Corey released a deep sigh of annoyance, and then he placed his right hand on his face while shaking his head in annoyance.
"This is annoying."
Corey slowly lowered his hand from his face, and as he did, his face and body began to change.
No longer did he have the ordinary face of Ryan, his true beauty was shown to everybody, and Syrelle, Orynthia, Ecles, and Queen Nerith all had stunned expressions when they saw his true appearance.
"Wow." Ecles could not stop herself from exclaiming in awe and amazement.
"So handsome." Syrelle said absentmindedly, but then her eyes flashed with realization and she quickly shook her head.
She glanced at Jeremy, hoping he did not hear her, and when she saw that he also had a stunned expression from Corey’s true appeared, she breathed a sigh of relief.
She looked at her sister, Orynthia, and she saw that she was extremely stunned by Corey’s beauty.
Her mouth was wide open, and her eyes inadvertently went to her sister’s breasts. When she saw something poking at her clothes, her lips could not help but twitch.
Just as she had this thought, she heard her mother speak from behind her.
"Always full of surprises."
She turned, and when she faced her mother, she saw her mother also having a stunned expression.
For some reason, she could not help but narrow her eyes when she thought she saw a flash of lust in her eyes.
Syrelle shook her head, and fully convinced herself that she had seen wrong. However, when she looked at Corey, she could not help but wonder why Corey was so handsome.
Elves were known to be amongst the most beautiful humanoid species in the entire universe, but seeing Corey’s true appearance made her to feel like all the Elves were completely inferior to Corey’s beauty.
She wondered.
