Klaus Castiel had a pondering glint in his eyes as he listened to the words of everybody in the building.
Some proposed that they chase after the Silver Elves they associated with and interrogate them using whatever means, even torture, to get the truth out of them.
Some even proposed that they find out where majority of the Silver Elves were residing so that they could kill them all to showcase their superiority.
While some proposed that they took some Silver Elves as slaves since Silver Elves were extremely rare in the Universe.
In fact, they were one of the rarest race in the universe, and as a prince of the Supreme Celestial Empire who loved to read, he knew more about Silver Elves than any of these organizations.
He knew just how valuable and useful they were, and he also knew how his status in the royal family would experience a massive windfall if he was able to make the Silver Elves serve him.
Klaus paused with slight amazement and excitement in his eyes, and then he looked at the window to his right.
Klaus’ eyes flashed with a dangerous glint, and a second later, he shifted his gaze away from the window.
He looked at Madi Brujah, and then slowly at the remaining people in the roundtable.
Klaus sighed inwardly, and then he raised a hand, signalling for the noise to stop.
Ever since Eric spoke, more than ten minutes had passed, and these ten minutes had been extremely noisy.
The moment Klaus raised his hand, everywhere became silent, and Klaus looked at everybody once again before his gaze settled on Madi.
"You’re not wrong in assuming that the Silver Elves violated the peace agreement and wanted to use the Immortal Beast to kill all of us."
He took a brief pause.
"But we can’t just assume that they did this intentionally, and that this was their goal. We’re talking about an Immortal here. It wouldn’t be surprising if they had no idea that there was an Immortal Beast in the grassy plains, after all, none of us sensed its presence even from all the way here... And some of us have really good senses."
His eyes moved to Ronan Veyclaw, the werewolf, whose lips twitched slightly.
Klaus looked back at Madi. "I’m not saying they’re innocent. What I’m saying instead is that we don’t make any rash decisions just because of this. They know this land best, and their cooperation would benefit all of us immensely. Let’s find out the truth first, then we can act however we want."
Everybody furrowed their brows, and although some like Madi were dissatisfied, they didn’t object his words.
"Contact your people that are in the other regions. Find out if any of them have encountered an Immortal or if there has been any suspicious movements by the Silver Elves."
"If there are more Immortals on this land, then we might need to contact our main forces outside this planet to either request for Immortals to forcefully come into this planet and this land. Or... we request for Immortal weapons, so that we can at least have a fighting chance against these Immortals."
The expressions of everybody changed the moment they heard Klaus’ words. Some had a contemplating expression, while some had glee and anticipation in their eyes. An example was Madi and Ronan.
"Also..." Klaus’ eyes flashed with a strange glint as he looked at everybody with an extremely serious expression. "... Don’t forget that our main goal is to kill Jeremy Draker and his people. We want the complete eradication of the Kingdom of Miracles, and this is the best place to do it."
Everybody nodded, and Klaus hummed lightly before getting to his feet. He looked at Azhrun whose expression was one of nonchalance, and then his lips parted open to speak.
However, he suddenly snapped his head to the window with a sharp gaze.
"Hmm?... Was I wrong?"
He muttered softly, and then he ignored the strange looks of everybody. He looked at Azhrun with complete indifference and a tinge of contempt.
"Let’s go. We have work to do."
Azhrun’s eyes flashed with a hidden glint, and then he smiled.
