Volume 1: a correction
The editors apologise to Dr Laudan Nooshin, author of the article on Iranian music in Volume 1 of this book, for
two editorial changes which were made without reference to her. These are the title (Nightingales and Mullahs’)
on p.355, and the use of the word ‘exile’ in the phrases ‘exile communities’ and ‘exile social gathering’ on p.360
The editors and publishers wish to make it clear that there was no intention to cause offence.
