Introduction
Windows 10 is down in history as one of the best versions of the legendary
operating system ever. Microsoft's latest OS has become a ground-breaking
operating system with a variety of new features and a brand-new UI.
Using its older operating systems as a foundation, Microsoft took everything
that made past versions so tremendous and turned it up to 11 in windows 10.
Plus, all the updates are nowhere that you're rolling out new features.
Windows 10 is a significant transformation of the pc landscape. For its
professionals who have become more comfortable managing Microsoft
windows using a standard set of tools and best practices, this version contains
a startling number of new features. It's unique user experience. A new
platform for the app. New security features and tools for management.
Our goal in this book is to help you sort out what's new in the windows 10
technical preview, with advance notice of features that will be available in the
finished product but not yet implemented. We have tried to lay down these
facts as neutrally as possible, starting with an overview of the operating
system, setting out the many changes in user experience, and diving deeply
into deployment and management tools where necessary.
Still, Windows 10 has a share of problems. Even if you know windows 7 and
windows 8 like the back of your hand, you might need some help navigating
around these issues. We will also show you how to download and install the
latest updates to windows 10. With this guide, you will become a window 10
user, in no time.
This book is designed to serve as a rough guide so that you can get more out
of your windows 10 technical preview. By design, this book focuses on new
things, with particular emphasis on topics of interest to its professionals. So,
you might find fewer tips and tricks about unique user experience than your
users want, but more about management, deployment, and security — which
is ultimately what matters to the long-term well-being of the company you
work for.
The windows 10 technical preview allows anyone not only to try out the next
version of windows but also to provide feedback on the new operating system
to the team that is building it in real-time. Moreover, thanks a lot for
choosing this book, I’d love to offer you a free booklet. You may download it

Chapter 1: The History of Windows
Microsoft Windows is a business system family. From 1985 to the present,
we study the history of Microsoft's Windows operating systems (windows
OS).
The windows OS for desktop computers is more formally called Microsoft
windows and is, in general, a family of computer operating systems.
Windows dominates the world of personal computers, running over 90
percent of personal computers – the remaining Linux and Mac operating
systems, according to some figures.
Windows offers a GUI, virtual memory management, various tasks, and
support for several peripheral devices. Microsoft also provides operating
systems for servers and handheld devices in addition to windows operating
systems for personal computers.
1.1 Introduction of Windows 10
Windows 10 is Microsoft's new personal computer operating system. The
concept of rolling operating system updates was formally unveiled in 2014.
For decades Microsoft has dominated the personal computer operating
system successfully, and its new version, windows 10, is expected to take
hold of this market.
Windows 10 was launched on 29 July 2015 as the windows nine successor.
The new edition of windows launched the company's so-called "universal
devices," devices designed to operate on mobile phones, personal computers,
video game consoles, and Holo Lens.
This is possible thanks to a standardized device API first implemented by
Microsoft in Windows 8.1. The universal windows architecture for the
development of such global applications was introduced by Windows 10.
Apps that can benefit from this are created with visual studio in 2015.
It implemented a rolling update program for features and enhancements as
part of Microsoft's revamped so. The idea is to develop the system
continuously with small updates, reducing the disturbance caused by more
significant updates.
The introduction of Microsoft Edge, a new browser, which is entirely distinct
from the very malignant internet explorer, was one of the significant updates
for windows 10.
Windows 10 Versions
Over the years, there are many releases of Microsoft windows, but it is rarely
as simple as upgrading to the latest version. There are also various versions
more often than not to be found, and Windows 10 is no exception.
Microsoft called them 'editions,' each with a different collection of features.
Some of them are listed below so that you can be sure that you update to the
correct edition and do not waste money on unnecessary apps.
Windows 10 Home
Incentives are that this will be the perfect version for you. It's the standard
version of Windows 10 despite its name and will probably be the most
popular version once the powder is over.
You may upgrade to this version free as long as you have a copy of windows
7, windows 8, or windows 8.1 from your current computer. It is designed for
laptops, phones, and 2-in-1s. It includes all the most exciting new features
demonstrated by Microsoft: Cortana (the voice-controlled assistant of
Microsoft), the edge web browser, tablet mode, face-, iris, and fingerprint
recognition if your hardware allows.
Windows 10 tends to receive substantial yearly revisions, such as the 2016
anniversary update or the 2017 creators update. They add new functionality
and performance enhancements and also adapt essential everyday functions
such as the start menu.
Windows 10 S
The current iteration of the windows 10 line-up is quite unusual - according
to Microsoft, Windows 10 's.' in reality, it could be seen on, for example,
subsidized laptops and tablets used in schools. This is a 'lightweight'
operating system that can operate on low-power (and cheaper) computers
without cutting-edge processors.
Windows 10 s is a secure operating system version as it has one big
restriction-you can only access windows store games. This means that regular
programs from other sources cannot be installed. While this reduces the
possibility of a virus being installed on your computer, it also prevents you
from downloading apps — like google chrome and Firefox are not available
in the windows store, so the edge browser is for windows 10 s users only.
Windows 10 Pro
Windows 10 Pro has almost the same features as the home version and is also
designed for pcs, tablets, and 2-in-1s. However, it also focuses on small
businesses. In reality, this presents itself primarily as external security tools
and system management.
However, it is also designed for 'power users' – those who know what they do
with windows and want to get as much out of it as possible. It contains bit
locker, which enables you to adequately safeguard your devices against
potential safety threats, a remote desktop feature, and more extensive cloud
technology access.
Most of it won't benefit you unless you run the company on it, but if you're
hot about security, it might be worth a look.
You will be automatically upgraded to free of charge when you run the
software currently: windows 7 advanced, windows 7 supreme, windows 8.1
pro, or windows 8.1 pro for students.
Windows 10 Mobile
As the name suggests, this is Windows 10’s desktop flagship edition. It is
better suited for smartphones and smaller tablets that have fewer functionality
(mainly everything that isn't a Microsoft surface). It still provides excellent
compatibility with Windows 10 mobile devices and high security and
efficiency but is better suited for small touchscreens.
It also comes with a pretty neat windows continuum feature, which allows
you to use your mobile device in a full screen like a fully-fledged desktop.
With Microsoft keen to drive windows 10 s, and windows phone sales and
tablets close android and iPad / iPhone sales, windows 10 mobile so is likely
to be discontinued. Instead, Microsoft can focus on pushing windows 10 s for
tablet and mobile applications.
This version of windows 10 is improbable to be required, so do not feel
tempted or compelled to pay. The secret is in its name-it is designed for
large-scale businesses and operations that need super-stress protection for
private information on hundreds of computers based on windows 10 pro.
Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise
Many companies now use tablets in their daily operations, especially on the
customer side. This version ensures that companies can offer their consumers
a unique experience in a healthy environment. It probably isn't for you
(except if you have hundreds of tablets).
Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB (Long Term Servicing Branch)
Windows 10 enterprise LTSB edition is similar to the windows 10 enterprise
edition but will not be updated to make windows 10 the lightest, slimmest
down edition.
It has all of the features of the windows 10 enterprise edition but does not
include modern (metro) apps such as a shop, Xbox, Cortana, Microsoft Edge,
and others. It also comes with classic calculator and windows photo viewer
programs that are not available in any other edition of Windows 10.
Windows 10 Education
This version is available for schools and is planned to address the needs of
school staff, teachers, administrators, and students.
This version includes all windows 10 enterprise edition features except long
term support.
The academic volume licensing is available via the Windows 10 education
edition.
