Learning to think like a lawyer
Being a modern lawyer is about thinking and

Learning to think like a lawyer
To help you learn to be a lawyer, you and your fellow
undergraduate students will typically be asked to:
• debate whether laws aimed at charging companies with
homicide are working
• interview and advise a criminal suspect charged with
murder in a role-play scenario
• represent a fictional father who believes he is being
unfairly denied access to his children by his ex-wife
• advise a client on the legal and commercial aspects of
entering into a franchise agreement
• advise a business on how to protect its name, trademarks
and other intellectual property
