Preface
Beliefinlife afterdeathisan article ofIslamicFaith.The
prophet Muhammad (peace andblessingsof Allah be upon
him)hasdirected ustobelieveinresurrection afterdeath and
inthe Day ofJudgement. The Believers have tobelievethat
thelife ofthisworldandofallthatisinitwillcometoanend
onanappointedday. Everythingwillbeannihilated.Thatday
is called Qiyamah ,i.e., the LastDay.
That all the human beings who have lived in the world
since its inception will then be restored to life and will be
presentedbeforeAlmightyAllahWhowillsitinjudgementon
that day. This is calledHashar (Resurrection).
That the entire record ofevery man and woman - ofall
theirdoings andmisdoings— willbe presentedbefore Allah
for final judgement.
That one who excels in goodness will be rewarded; one
whose evils and wrongs outweigh his good deeds will be
punished.
WhatHappens AfterDeath (vi)
Thatthosewhoemergesuccessfulinthisjudgement will
gotoParadise andthedoors ofenternalblisswillbeopened
to them; those who arecondemned anddeserve punishment
willbe sentto Hell - the abode offire and torture.
Thusifyoureflectdeeper,youwillcometotheconclusion
that beliefinlifeafterdeathisthemostdecisive factorinthe
life ofaman.Itsacceptanceorrejectiondeterminesthevery
course ofhislife and behaviour.
