INTRODUCTION
Water is a basic need for all living creatures. No one can live without
drinking water. However, man can live for 40 days and 40 nights by
drinking water alone. But those were the days when the earth was
not so polluted and the earth was still clean. Now, no one can tell
whether the water we drink is still safe as people are disposing their
wastes everywhere.
Contaminated drinking water causes a lot of diseases. The most
common diseases are typhoid fever and amoebiasis (dysentery).
The most dreaded disease is cholera. Just recently, many people
were hospitalized due to cholera and several deaths were reported.
We can acquire these diseases by drinking contaminated water like
rain water, spring water or drinking from the tap.

MINERAL, PURIFIED and DISTILLED WATER
Mineral Water - drinking water that passes through a series of filters
and sterilization process which eliminate bacteria, fungi, parasites,
viruses but does not pass through a reverse osmosis.
The total dissolve solids, minerals and water hardness are high
which produces an after taste.
Purified Water - passes through series of filters, microfiltration
(reverse osmosis) and sterilization process which eliminates
bacteria, fungi, parasites, viruses and unwanted minerals like
calcium, magnesium and other minerals. Mineral contents are
minimal. Total dissolve solids is below 10 ppm and hardness is low
which makes water smooth to drink.
