We are unable to give the original designers their much deserved credit
as the projects in this book originated in the 1920s to 1950s. Although the
records of the original books don't exist, we believe the designers were
all part of an in-house Coats & Clark design team. Their exquisite
designs are even more incredible since they were more limited than we
are in the colors and types of yarns and threads.
We'd like to acknowledge the special designers who have re-designed
our vintage projects. Their names are featured with each project pattern
herein. Our technical editor, Amy Polcyn, has made sure that the new
