Overview of Aquaponics System
v  Aquaponics is a soilless organic food production
system that uses fish to provide fertilizer to the
plants
v  Closed- loop symbiotic relationship exist between fish
and plants
v  The plants filter waste water and clean water send to
the fish tank again
v  90% less water required than conventional
agriculture
v  It produces organic food which is absolutely delicious
v  Food can be grown round the year
v  It is well suited for urban and peri-urban farming
