Documents and Downloads is a feature of Qualcomm’s CDMATech Support site, which enables

account-holders to access Qualcomm CDMATechnologies (QCT) technical deliverables. You can

also subscribe to document folders and receive notification when new revisions of documents
5
become available. This user guide provides procedures and helpful hints for using Documents and
6
Downloads.

The screen captures in this document serve as representations for the purpose of describing screen

This chapter describes the computer setup recommended for Documents and Downloads.

2.1 Java Runtime Environment (JRE)

The Java Runtime Environment is used for the download service. Version 1.5 or higher is
5
recommended.

2.2 Browser

Internet Explorer 7 or Mozilla Firefox 3.5 (or later) is recommended for use with CDMATech
8
Support Documents and Downloads. Other browsers, such as Google Chrome, Safari, or Opera
9
may work; however, we cannot guarantee that we can address all issues associated with each of
10
those browsers and we do not support them at this time.

2.2.1 Trusted website
12
Make sure that the CDMATech Support Documents and Downloads site is included in your list
13
of trusted websites. For example, the procedure to set this up in Internet Explorer 7 is as follows:

1. Open a browser window.

2. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
16
3. From the Options window, select the Security tab.
17
4. On the Security tab, click Trusted Sites as the zone, and then click Sites.

5. In the Add this website to the zone field, enter the following URL:

6. Ensure that the server verification checkbox is cleared.

If an empty dialog box appears, and then disappears, ensure that download prompting is enabled.

To enable download prompting for IE7, follow these steps:

2.2.3 Clearing the cache
18
Browsers typically cache information to enhance performance. This results in access issues when
19
system upgrades – particularly those involving server upgrades/enhancements – are involved.
20
On the client side, login files change with the upgrade, but the files are not necessarily upgraded.
21
This may cause some browsers for some individuals to continue to use old login files that are
22
stored on their local machines, which will not allow them to log in.
23
To resolve this issue, you must clear everything from the cache on your browser.
