These regulations may be called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Portfolio Investors) (Amendment) Regulations, 2017. 2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 3. In the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Portfolio Investors) Regulations, 2014,– (1) In regulation 21,- i. in sub-regulation (1), in clause (a),– (1) for the words “Securities in the primary and secondary markets including shares”, the word “Shares” shall be substituted; (2) after the word “India”, the words and symbol “, through primary and secondary markets”, shall be inserted; ¹Hkkx IIIµ[k.M 4º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3 ii. in sub-regulation (4), in clause (e),– (1) after sub-clause (vii) the following sub-clauses shall be inserted, namely,- “(viii) transactions by Category I and II foreign portfolio investors, in corporate bonds, as may be specified by the Board; (ix) transactions on the electronic book provider platform of recognized stock exchanges;” (2) existing sub-clause (viii) shall be re-numbered as sub-clause (x); U.
