conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 29 of the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2000
(56 of 2000) read with Rule 21(6) of Delhi Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Rules, 2009 and
in pursuance of power delegated vide Notification No. F. 61(2)/1)0-14)SW/2001/2832-2891 dated the
26th March, 2003, under Section 66 of the aforesaid Act, I, Director, Women & Child Development,
Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, hereby nominate the following names in Child Welfare
Committees. They shall exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on such
Committees, in relation to the children in need of care and protection under the said Act in National Capital

the aforesaid Child Welfare Committees shall function from their designated premises. The Child
Welfare Committees shall function in terms of the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2000
and Delhi Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Rules, 2009 on all working days from 10.00 am to
5.00 pm.
'The Chairperson & Members of Child Welfare Committees shall deal with cases for care, protection,
treatment, development and rehabilitation of children in need of care and protection. In case, the child is
under order to continue in the Children Institution, the Committee shall carry out quarterly review of the
progress of the child. The Committee shall visit each Child Care Institution falling in their jurisdiction at least
once in 3 months to review the condition of children of the Institutions.
The Committees shall also take up the matters as referred to them by the Department for
implementation of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000 in letter and spirit.

Delhi Higher Judicial Service, as Principal Judge, Family Courts, Delhi, on regular basis for West District
with effect from the date he takes over, in terms of Section 4 of the Family Courts Act, 1984, with conferment
