8.0. 42(61,-In exercise of the powers conkérted by sub-seetion (1) of section 3A
of the National Highway Act, 1956(48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said
Act ). the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the publie purpose, the
lund, the brief description of which is givem in the Schedule below, is required for
building (wideaing’sis- Ianing, ote.) maintenance management and operation of
National Highway No.8, on the stretch of land fiom km58L.600 to kin459,350
(Acchal - Dheksle Section ) in Distt Thane, in the Stave of Meherashtra, herby
clas its intention (a acquire such land.
‘Any person interested in the said land may, within twenty-one days from the date of
publication of this nottication in the Cificial Gazette, objects to the use of such land
forthe aforesaid purpase under sub-sevtivn (1} of Seetion 3€ of the said Act
very such objection shall be made to che enmpetent authority; namely, the
Sub-Divisional officer, Dahan, Dsharw Division Dist-Thane, Muharashira, in
\riling . and shall set out the grounds chetcor and the competent authority shall give
the objector an opportunity of being heard, cither in person or by a legal practitioner,
‘and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if
any, as the competent authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow
