I have always been a fan of Triumph TRs, and because I drove the new TR7s before I made any instant
judgements, I immediately realised what was in the designers’ minds. In many ways they were always the
RIMMER best of the breed - and they certainly sold in the largest numbers.
When the TR7 and TR8 models were in production they had a controversial reputation, and some noisy
critics always stated that they would never achieve classic status. I am absolutely delighted to note that they
were wrong.
BROS Clearly they are now more popular than ever before, and the demand for parts - some standard and some
special - is stronger than ever. In the past, far too many desirable cars have gradually rotted away because
the makers have lost interest in them - in the case of the TR7 and TR8 Rimmer Bros did not let this happen.
You will only need to skim through these pages to realise what effort has gone into sourcing and re-
SERVICE manufacturing parts, to cover every aspect of these cars, so that owners can always keep them on the road,
and restore them to ‘as-new’ condition. Now, more than ever before, updating and improving these sports
cars is well worthwhile.
When the TR7s and TR8s were still on the new car market, their styling may have aroused a lot of
comment, but their performance and road-holding capabilities were never in doubt. As the first of a long line
of TRs to be totally engineered with an eye to exhaust emission and other safety regulations in the 1970s,
they are ideally suited to motoring conditions in todays environment.
This is a vast catalogue which reflects the huge stocks held by Rimmer Bros, and it reflects their

Mile Warranty - our engine units are run on a test
bed after assembly. During the test-run period
TR7 ENGINE REBUILD KIT - WITH NEW UNLEADED HEAD! (at varying engine speeds), all external joints and
seals are checked, and the water temperature
and oil pressure are monitored to verify correct
operation. After the bench test, the engines
undergo a final inspection and are prepared for
sale.
NOTE:All units are drained of oil & water before
despatch.
Our Full Engines are assembled ready to accept
manifolds, water pump and other ancillaries.
Additional installation information and running-in
details are supplied with every unit. We can also
supply a ‘Full Engine Build-up Kit’ that includes
all necessary gaskets/oil filter etc, enabling you
to install the full engine in your vehicle.
Alternatively, fitting can be arranged locally in
Lincoln if required, please enquire for details &
costs.
