That’s normally not possible, or a group of three gods would have been able to overthrow Zeus centuries or millennia ago. But every individual’s magic sort of works on a different wavelength. They don’t add up. But the triplets have been raised together, have spent 24 hours a day together their whole lives, and their magic is in sync.So the triplets are more powerful than Hecate?Yes, even as children, and thereupon hangs the tale.The war faction of the family is causing trouble again?Yes, Apollo’s war faction didn’t take his defeat in and “Hecate and ” to heart. They want to unseat Zeus, who’s an independent and doesn’t always go their way. They think triplets may be able to join powers, so Eris and Phobos have triplets as well. They can also combine their powers.There’s two sets of triplets?Yes, and the whole thing moves inexorably to war between Apollo’s faction and Zeus’ supporters, with one set of triplets on either side.The Battle of the Gods.Yes. Both sets of triplets, who despite their powers are mere children, are scarred from the battle and the effect such high-level magic use has on them. Hecate tries to make things right, to repair both sets of triplets, her own and Eris’.The cover shows Hecate’s triplets?Yes. The cover is another stunning product of Luca Oleastri and Paola Giari of Rotwang Studios.How did this book write?It took forty days to write and “Tridyma. and ” The first twenty days it was about 1500 words per day, which is slow for me. There was a lot of research, in geography and history, to set it up. Once that was done, it wrote at about 2500 words per day through the end.Are the Andersons back?Yes. I like to include ‘outside’ characters in my fiction, to give the reader a view from outside the action. As a reader, the fictional setup becomes so real that extraordinary things can seem normal. Harold and Margaret Anderson are outside the family of the gods and goddesses, and their point of view is important for the reader to stay tuned in to how extraordinary Hecate, Conner, and the kids really are.What’s next for you? and “Tridyma and ” ends the Pantheon series, at least for now. I don’t have any story percolating there. The next books I write will be a four-book series back in hard science fiction.What’s that going to be about?I have no clue.
