TOAST is a complete rewrite and update.</p>From the Author<p>'Toast' was a difficult story to write. In my youth I had a friend such as Marcus. Many of the behaviors expressed in the story are drawn from this friend, letting him win at games, his inability to handle stress, etc. He was a wonderful human being, full of play, and even with his difficulties, always fun to be around. I would rather, in a situation like I envisioned, that there would be a shred of hope for the family----- But, it is the story of the end of time for the human race.
