Finally, I can think of one other image that might pop
into an 8-year-old's mind when thinking about a gun.

people like a police officer or a solider - someone who
is using a gun to protect - to "fight the bad guys."
And so, when this child looked up at the clouds and
saw an outline of a gun, what was actually wrong with
that? What is the bad behavior here? Whether it is from
shooting at targets, hunting with the family, or fighting
bad guys, the memories and thoughts are all positive.
It's outrageous that the government from upper levels
down to elementary schools are trying to tell us how to
think - that we can't think of guns - that we can't even
play tag any more, that games don't need to end with

police officers. A new law requires "traceable micro-
stamping" for all new semi-automatic handguns.
Nonetheless, the NRA gets blamed - not the gun-
free zones, not the inability of citizens to protect
themselves and certainly not the shooter. Blaming the
NRA or "craven politicians" won't stop bad guys - in
this case, one filled with racial hatred - from doing bad
things. The old line still rings true: The best and most
sure way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy
with a gun.

So, what we have had the government
(administrative, legislative and judicial branches) say
to us is that a Cost of Living raise is not a raise in pay;
that if it were, nobody could challenge, in court, the
law that preceded the Amendment – even though in
conflict; and, that Congress, unless they vote down
(not voted down seven of the last twelve years) their
annual raise, they will receive it, even though in
obvious violation of the intent of the Amendment —
an increase in compensation.
Even more interesting is the fact that changes in
the cost of living are a result, in part, at least, of the
ineptness of Congress in managing the country. It is
also a result of their violation of another provision of
the Constitution (Article I, Section 10, clause 1) which
requires that the state may not “make any Thing but

Since we are no longer even allowed to own gold and
silver to pay debts, we are subject to inflation which is
a result of, and common to, any form of fiat currency
(Federal Reserve Notes). The inflation, which is a
result of disobedience of the Constitution, has resulted
in the necessity to even consider Cost of Living as a
factor in maintaining one’s purchasing power. They
(Congress) and their employees are assured, at our
expense, of not having their purchasing power
diminished. Unfortunately, in our sustaining their
coffers, we don’t have the means to offset inflation –
resulting in a diminishing of our purchasing power.

Lluvia’s brother, Staff Sgt. Roberto Loeza, Jr., was

41st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat
Team, 1st Armored Division out of Fort Bliss, Texas.
He deployed with the unit to Afghanistan in support of
Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011. Before leaving,
he made a promise to his youngest sister, Lluvia, that
he would be at her graduation to watch her walk the
stage but unfortunately could not keep that promise.
Staff Sgt. William Berry a member of Charlie Co
and a friend and comrade of Roberto, stated that, “Staff
Sgt. Roberto Loeza, Jr. was a loving and caring father
and family man. His Soldiers held him in very high
regard and respected his leadership and presence.”
Roberto died of injuries sustained by indirect fire
on May 25, 2012 while serving in Logar Province,
Afghanistan.
Roberto’s brother, Esteban, wanted to surprise
their sister. He sent out a message through Facebook to
Roberto’s old unit asking for volunteers to stand in his
place. The call was answered immediately.
Though the majority of the unit is deployed once
again to Afghanistan, the Battalion’s rear detachment
known as Task Force Stalwart West led by the
Battalion Executive Officer, Maj. George Chigi, along
with Maj. Christopher Penwarden and Sgt. 1st Class
Bernie Brooks, organized a group of Soldiers to attend
Lluvia’s graduation.
More than 30 Soldiers from 1-4 Infantry Battalion
attended the graduation. Also in attendance were
several Soldiers from the Ft Bliss area that knew
Roberto well including Penwarden & SFC Jason Yeazel.
Lluvia was completely surprised by the Straight
and Stalwart Battalion Soldiers who gathered in their
Army Service Uniforms. Making the event even more

special for her, Chigi was given permission by the
school district’s superintendent to present Lluvia with

Lluvia was just as impressive as her older brother; E-Mopeds
