Three Words Eight Letters If I Say It Will I Be Yours?

Prologue

"Our story has three parts; a beginning, a middle, and an end. And
although this is the way all stories unfold.
I still can't belive that ours didn't go on forever."

I closed the book entitled "Dear John". This quote is an excerpt from
that book.

A quote that made me reminisce about my past.

A past I want to forget, but can't.

Falling in love.

Its not always a happily-ever-after story.

Most of the time, it's just one of those once-upon-a-time's.

Sometimes we have to give up wonderful things just to make everything
alright.

We have to bleed alone for somebody to smile.

We need to let those tears flow just to save the tears of others.

We have to break our hearts to fill somebody else emptiness..

And there are times were we have to give up our own hapiness just to
rescue someone else burden..

There's no justice in love..

It was never fair..

AND IT WILL NEVER BE.

I once asked myself..
If an existence without me is such a fearful one, why did he leave me to
live an existence without him?

I haven't moved on..

I can't move on..

And I know.. Deep inside..

I don't want to move on.

But..

"People come, and people go. They'll drift in and out of your life.
Almost like characters in a favorite book.
When you finally close the cover the characters have said their story and
you start up again with another book
complete with new characters and adventures. Then you find yourself
focusing on the new ones, not the ones in the past."

I believe that we have said our story. And there won't be any new
chapters in our book. Because he left me. He left me to live an existence
without him.

Will I continue living this devastating life full of disappointments,
sadness, regret and pain?

Or

Will I close our book and start with a new one? A new character and a new
adventure?

CHAPTER 1

Isang taon.

Isang taon na ang nakalipas.

Isang taon pagkatapos mangyari ang insidenteng nagpabago ng buhay ko.

I was there. I was talking to him. He was suppose to say he love me. But
then there was this sudden commotion.

I tried calling him, pero wala ng sumasagot. Tinawag na ako ni Calvin,
paalis na daw kami. Pero I can't go. Not now.

Kean promised me that he'll come back.

Kean told me to wait for him.

And I did.

Hindi ako umalis ng airport. Lamig, pagod, ngalay. Lahat yan tiniis ko. I
was hoping na babalik siya.

Naghintay ako sa airport hanggang 10 PM. Pinapauwi na ako ni Calvin pero
hindi naman ako umuwi. Sinamahan niya ako magintay.
Binigay niya sa akin ang Jacket niya. Sabay kami naghintay.

Hanggang sa..

**PAPA CALLING.

Tumatawag si Papa. Ang tatay ni Kean. Baka sasabihin niya na nasa bahay
na si Kean.
"P-Pa-Papa?"

"Chanel."

Noong marinig ko ang boses niya kinabahan agad ako. Kinutuban akong--
hindi magandang balita ang sasabihin niya.
Pero.. Naniniwala ako na babalik si Kean. He said he'll come back for me.
Kean won't break his promise. He won't.
I'll wait for him.

"Where are you?"

"Papa Where are you? Asan si Kean? Kanina pa ako naghihintay sakanya sa
airport. Pakisabi punta na siya dito oh."

"Chanel. Makinig ka."

"Yeah. I'm listening."

"Kean is..

..Gone."

Nanigas ako sa Kinatatayuan ko.

'Kean is.. Gone.'

No he can't be gone.

He is not gone.

"Papa naman, don't play games with me anymore. Please tell him na
hihintay ko siya. Please don't lie to me."
"Chanel. Ikaw. Ikaw ang wag magsinungaling sa akin. Totoo ang sinasabi
ko. He's gone. I know you're not okay."

"NO WHERE ARE YOU!? WHERE'S KEAN?!"

"Nasa ospital kami."

"I'll go there! I won't believe until hindi ko nakikita si Kean."

"Chanel.. Pinacrimate namin si Kean."

Noong narinig ko yung sinabi niya, napaupo ako. Sinambot na lang ako ni
Calvin.

"WHY?! WHY DID YOU--BAKIT PAPA?? HINDI NIYO MAN LANG AKO HININTAY.
PAPAAAA."

Non stop crying. I was there, outside the airport. Screaming, and crying.

This can't be happening. He can't be gone.

Ang barkada pinuntahan na ako sa airport that time. Lahat sila pinapauwi
na ako.

Pero I don't want to go.

I'm holding on to Kean's promise. I'm holding on to what he said.

He'll come back, so I shall wait for him.
Pero..

Wala.

Walang dumating.

Walang Kean.

Naghintay ako hanggang sa mag-umaga.

Bumabalik ako araw araw at naghihintay.

Pero walang Kean.

Hanggang sa nawalan ako ng pag-asa.

Unti unting nawala ang tiwala ko sa pangakong kanyang sinambit na siyang
pinanghahawakan ko.

Unti unti.. sabay naglaho ng pag-asa ko na babalik siya.. ang pagkatao
ko. :(

"ELLE!"
Elle? Napalingon ako sa kung sinong lumingon.

Si Calvin pala.

"Wae?" (Why?)

"Anio." (Nothing)

"Gwaenchana?" (Are you okay?)

"Ne, Gwaenchana. :)" (Yes, I'm okay)

Tapos pinat niya yung ulo ko.

"Ms. Elle and Mr. Calvin Go. Be ready, the photoshoot will start in 5
minutes."

"Ne."

Si Calvin Klein Go.

Karamay ko. Siya ang nakakaalam ng lahat sa akin. Siya ang tunay na
nakakakilala sa akin.

We pursued our modelling career. And naging maganda ang feedback namin.
Kinukuha kaming sa mga dramas. Pero ayoko.
Kasama din namin ang ICL Koala. Pero sa pagkanta at pagmomodel lang ang
kinukuha nilang project. Kami ni Calvin,
tumatanggap ng CF (Commercial) and minsan lumalabas sa mga shows.

Pero hindi ako handle ni JM.

Hindi ko siya manager.

She's great. Really. Kaya hindi ko siya tinanggap na manager.

Because I'm a sl*t. I'm a b*tch. I'm evil.

Yeah.

Because..

Chanel Courtney Chua is dead.

I am now known as Elle Clemente.

But they often call me Elle.

Back when I was in the Philippines, I'm a party girl. Every night I'll go
clubing.
Palagi akong lasing, and when I say drunk, I'm drunk. I can't even stand.

Aside from being a party wh*re.

Yeah. Palaging may nagbrebreak dahil sa akin.

Third wheel ako palagi.

And yeah. Madali akong kumuha ng boys, coz I'm fckn pretty.

At ang lalaking pinaglalaruan ko..

COZ I WANT REVENGE.

Ayokong ako lang ang makaramdam ng sakit na nararamdaman ko.

Hindi pwedeng ako lang ang naiwanan.

Gusto kong iparamdam sa lahat ng babaeng nagmamahal kung gaano kasaklap
ang mawalan ng minamahal.

There was this time na sobrang lala ko, pati sina Steve, Luke, Yael,
Cholo, Jacob and Gian pinaglaruan ko.

Sinampal ako ni Bianca, ni Ivy, ni Ria at ni Cassandra. Even Anika and
Margaret, galit sa akin.

Pero natuwa ako noon.

Not because I want them to be hurt. Pero kasi..

I was hoping na dahil sa mga sampal nila magising ako. O makalimot.

Yung tipong pagmulat ko isang araw, wala na yung mga alaala.

Wala na yung sakit.

Umiyak ako sa harap nila. Binato ko lahat ng pwedeng batuhin. Nagpasampal
ulit ako sakanila. Pero wala..

Ganoon pa rin.
