Introduction
I am now seventy-three years old and like most of you I have lived
in a society that accepts the government’s draconian prohibition
laws. The latest of these support the “War on Drugs”, as a normal
part of life. Our government’s tendency to impose repressive and
ineffective prohibition laws appeared to end with the repeal of the
Volsed Act (alcohol prohibition) in 1932, but it surfaced again two
years later, merely changing its target from alcohol to marijuana.
The political arena and the justice system, by their creation and
enforcement of these laws, and the media, with their unremitting
waveofpropaganda,havegeneratedandreinforcedanacceptanceof
these laws by the general public. The result is a massive worldwide
brainwashing. The enforcement of these unconstitutional laws and
thewagingofthisinsanewarhaveescalatedintoafrenzyofpersecu-
tion that is the contemporary moral equivalent of the Spanish
Inquisition.
This book shows the truly evil nature of prohibition laws and the
real reason they have lasted so long, done so much damage, and are
still being endured. It also exposes the war on drugs as a taxpayer
subsidized benefit to organized crime. When the responsible people
of middle-class America come to their senses, they will abolish these
laws and end the devastating, cannibalistic culture they have created
and continue to nurture. When that happens, we will have taken a
major step toward reclaiming our God-given and Constitutional
right to “…life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
