Welcome
Thank you for choosing The Practical Witch’s Almanac! The
recipes, correspondences, spells, and magical information in
your almanac maintain their perennial value long after the
calendar year has ended.
This year’s theme is Infinite Spells. As you study your almanac
you’ll learn to use the fundamentals of magic to design spells for
any occasion, and learn how to work with the natural energies of
the phases of the moon, stones, herbs, colors, and more. Using
your creativity and intuition, you’ll be able to design spells
specifically tailored to achieve your goals.
Daylight Saving Time
In March of 2022, the U.S. Senate passed
legislation to make Daylight Saving Time
(DST) permanent beginning in 2023. This
Sunshine Protection Act will end the twice-
annual changing of clocks. However, the bill
must still pass the House of Representatives
and then be signed by the president. This bill
has not become law and is unlikely to at the
time of printing, so the data in this almanac
assumes the time changes will occur as normal in March and
November. If it does become law, you'll subtract one hour from
the times listed between March 12, 2023, and November 5,
2023. If you'd like to receive an email notification in the event

Daylight Saving Time begins on March 12, 2023 at 2:00 am
when you set your clock forward one hour to 3:00 am. Daylight
Saving Time ends on November 5, 2023 at 2:00 am when you set
your clock back one hour to 1:00 am.
