I am very grateful to my friend and Rolfing teacher
Jan Sultan for contributing so much to my understanding
of the Rolfing work which fills the pages of this book. I
am eternally thankful for the unwavering love and support
that my wife Gail has provided during the long process of
bringing this work to completion. My beautiful children
Caitlin and Ravenna inspire me more than I could ever
express adequately. I am deeply grateful for my father and
mother, Howard and Leona Fahey, for instilling in me the
values of integrity, determination, and consistency which
have carried me through a very meaningful life. I am very
happy to be associated with Victor Roberge and the com-
petent and considerate staff at Metamorphous Press.
Finally, I tip my hat once again to Ida P. Rolf, whose ger-
