Ever since my recent sex change operation converted me to the double-X chromosome state of mind, I feel
eminently qualified to write a foreword to The Party Girl Cookbook. "Party" is my middle name, and the journey
from a kitchen Casanova to a kitchen Renova has been remarkably painless. Even before my walk on the femme
side, I spent hundreds of hours discussing the pearls of partymaking with women from all walks of life.
And party girls Nina Lesowitz and Lara Morris Starr know how to party, from January to December, in rasta rags or
goddess garb. Forget about architecturally significant canapés or scouring the globe for that rare and rarely tasty
treat. Too much effort and expense is a sure-fire route to party peril. Remember: "Party girls don't sweat, they glow."
I'd party with cookadelics Nina and Lara any time. They dress to excess, have attitude to spare, and know the ten
reasons why trick or treating is better than sex. They will turn your kitchen into a party hall and the rest of the house

Parties? How I love to give parties!
Hostess Lily Pons, who was famous in the '40s for throwing "pink parties," where the decor and all the food,
even mashed potatoes, were pink
What could be better than a party? The anticipation, the break from the routine, the free food and drinks, catching up
on gossipparties are the best way we know to have fun in public.
Okay, so you think of yourself as a girl who loves to party. You can wear the clothes, drink the drinks, make the
