One of the most notorious of these sources of todays conspiracy theory that the moon landings were 'all done on film sets' can actually be traced back to the fictitious 1977 movie 'Capricorn One', written and directed by Peter Hyams.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>The Author clinically explains in painstaking detail, including through the use of photographic and film evidence, each of the best-known claims and theories, analyses the evidence behind those beliefs, and than comprehensively and&nbsp; thoroughly refutes them with well thought out scientific reasoning. He specialises in optical instrumentation for telescopes, about which he has authored a scientific textbook or two over the years his been active in his field. His current research addresses active 'massive stars', and the Author also runs a private astronomical observatory for the training of upcoming researchers and prospective Astrophysicists in his homeland of Germany. When not working with the ESA or encouraging others to join him in staring up at the sky, the Author restores vintage motorcycles and reads or watches 'copious amounts of Science Fiction'.</p>
