Artist Statement
In my artistic practice, I focus on revealing that which is
emerging during the process of creation. I am interested in
the parallel between the process of creating an image and
the human experience of existence over time.
I construct the image with specific, intentional marks
or actions; the juxtaposition of multiple marks and colours
uncovers shapes and structures. The shapes become entities
unto themselves, abstract representations of the cumulative
effect of our actions. Diverse, embryonic shapes are in vari-
ous stages of formation. They are held in an undetermined,
unexplored space depicting the landscape of existence.
