• Definition
– It is any activity, either formal (through
the use of norm-referenced standardized
criteria) or informal (through the use of
developmental profiles or checklists) that
is designed to elicit accurate and reliable
samples of the student’s behavior upon
which inferences relative to particular
skill status may be made.
