Abstract.Anewgenusofhubbardiidschizomid,Bucinozomus gen.nov.withthesinglespeciesB.hortuspalmarum
spec,nov., isdescribed on basistotwo male specimensfound inthe"Palmengarten"greenhouse in Frankfurtam
Main,Germany. Itclearlydiffersfrom other known genera by having a long and conical abdominal segment IX,as
wellasthefollowingcombinationofcharacters:anterodorsal marginoffemurIVproduced atlessthana 90°angle,
metapeltidium divided, and pedipalps with prominent spinose setae. It differs from Ththyreus Kraepelin, 1899 by
having the pedipalp trochanter with a mesal spur, leg femur IV not slender and a pedipalp tarsus with a shorter
claw(halfoftarsuslength).Living sympatricwiththisnewtaxonwerefemalespecimensofStenochrusportoricensis
Chamberlin, 1922andZomusbognallii(Jackson, 1908).
