About our AR500 Steel Target Company

Rogue Shooting Targets is a steel shooting target company located in the
Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon. Surrounded by mountains and close to the
high desert of Eastern Oregon, it offers a lot of recreational activities to the
residents and visitors. From hiking the Pacific Crest Trail or any of the other
wilderness trails, hunting the elusive blacktail deer or majestic bull elk,
fishing the high mountain lakes, or the Rogue River for salmon and steelhead.
It also offers a great opportunity for long range shooting.
Rogue Shooting Targets was born out of necessity. Our team and friends are all
devoted shooters and hunters. Whether it is pistol, cowboy action, long range,
or even trap and skeet, we shoot it all. After shooting a wide variety of metal
targets, only to ruin them and end up replacing them in a short period of time,
it was time to build the best AR500 steel targets and target stands for long term
use. We shoot just about every week giving our AR500 steel targets a good
workout. Whether you are the hunter who just wants to dial their hunting rifle
in for the upcoming season, the cowboy, IPSC or IDPA shooter, or the long
range shooter shooting large magnums at 1000 yds or more, WE HAVE
YOUR STEEL TARGET PLATES AND TARGETS.
Our AR500 Steel Shooting Target Plates, Stands, Holders & Kits
Rogue Shooting Targets has steel targets for just about everyone. You may choose to buy just a
target plate so you can make your own hanger or stand. We also have our steel target stands
and target holders and even kits that have both the steel target stand and target plate so when
it arrives, you can start shooting. Our AR500 steel targets add a new experience to target
shooting. With immediate feedback steel targets give the shooter instant gratification letting
the shooter know if they hit their mark with both visual and audio confirmation. Even in a
rapid series of shots the shooter will know if they hit or missed, unlike other target types.
Hearing the hit on steel targets at long distances is very convenient as you spend less time
inspecting targets and more time shooting. Steel targets have other advantages over
traditional paper targets when shooting in unfavorable conditions, as they are not greatly
affected by rain or wind.
Using AR500 Steel Shooting Targets Safely

* As with all shooting sports, it is important to follow firearms
safety at all times while enjoying the sport.

* Bullet fragments can be cast towards shooter or spectators, it
is advisable that shooter and spectators wear safety glasses, ear
protection and appropriate clothing for protection.

Hanging the target with the target face pointed slightly
downward will help direct the bullet splatter down and reduce
the risk of injury.

* Never use armor piercing (AP), steel core, steel jacket, 100%
copper, or other hardened bullets. They will damage the target
and may cause injury.

* Shoot steel targets straight on as possible

*We dont recommend shooting 50 BMG any closser than 400
yds.

* Never use BB's, pellets, or air soft, they do not have the force
to splatter and will bounce back.

Our auto reset popper targets are extremely durable and fun to shoot. These AR500 steel popper
targets reset when hit allowing the shooter to get more shooting in, insteed of the shooter
spending time reseting target.
The shapes we offer are time tested designs, we dont offer the rockchucks, squirrels or other cute
figures as we dont feel those designs are durable as we have bent those shapes up just to have
twisted figures after just a few rifle rounds, we want our auto reseting poppers to last a good
long time.
As with all of our products there are few if any welds involving AR500 and if parts become
damaged they can generaly be easly replaced. These reactive steel targets may be used as pistol
or rifle targets and are reset using high quality USA made springs engineered for long term
dependable use.
Our Auto resetting popper targets may be used setting on the ground and staked if necessary or
with our leg kits, leg kits raise the target about 6" off the ground, making the ar500 steel target
more visiable while used it grass or such.
