1. DO NOT attempt a product repair if you have any doubts as to your ability to
completeitinasafeandsatisfactorymanner.
2. Beforeservicingormovinganappliance:
• Removethepowercordfromtheelectricaloutlet,tripthecircuitbreakertothe
OFFposition,orremovethefuse.
• Turnoffthegassupply.
• Turnoffthewatersupply.
3. Neverinterferewiththeproperoperationofanysafetydevice.
4. USEONLYREPLACEMENTPARTSCATALOGEDFORTHISAPPLIANCE.
SUBSTITUTIONS MAY DEFEAT COMPLIANCE WITH SAFETY
STANDARDS SET FOR HOME APPLIANCES.
5. GROUNDING: ThestandardcolorcodingforsafetygroundwiresisGREEN,or
GREENwithYELLOWSTRIPES.Groundleadsarenottobeusedascurrent
carrying conductors. It is EXTREMELY important that the service technician
reestablishallsafetygroundsprior tocompletionofservice. Failuretodoso will
createahazard.
6. Priortoreturningtheproducttoservice,ensurethat:
• Allelectricalconnectionsarecorrectandsecure
• Allelectricalleadsareproperlydressedandsecuredawayfromsharpedges,
high-temperaturecomponents,andmovingparts
• Allnon-insulatedelectricalterminals,connectors,heaters,etc.areadequately
spacedawayfromallmetalpartsandpanels
• All safety grounds (both internal and external) are correctly and securely
connected
• Allpanelsareproperlyandsecurelyreassembled
