LETsrr
John Lent not only grew up in Maynard and graduated from
Maynard High School in 1964, he also has dedicated himself to the
children of Maynard. He has taken on many roles in his 40 years as an
employee of the Maynard school system. Mr. Lent has been a teacher,
advisor, coach, athletic director, assistant principal, dean of students, and
soon ends his career in the “big office" as principal of Maynard High
School. As we, the class of 2007, graduate we will miss him but we are
MHS
honored to have him graduate from again with us.
We
thank him for his patience, his wisdom, and his commitment to his
students. He must be exhausted after not only raising his five children
with his wife Claire, but the hundreds, no, thousands, he has raised with
other faculty members. Except for that well-deserved “blowout" once in
a great while, his easy-going, relaxed mannerisms have always made us
feel comfortable in his presence.
We
salute you Mr. Lent, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts
for all your years of service. You have truly been a positive role model
to us, and in a lot of cases our parents too. Be well and enjoy your well
deserved retirement.
