About the Author
Dr. Vijay Singh Meena a BHU, Varanasi alumnus, is presently working as a
Scientist (Soils) in the Crop Production Division at ICAR-Vivekananda Institute of
Hill Agriculture, Almora (UK), India. He obtained his B.Sc. (Ag.) from SKRAU,
Bikaner, Rajasthan, and M.Sc. (Ag.) and Ph.D. (Ag.) with specialization in soil sci-
ence and agricultural chemistry from Banaras Hindu University (the Capital of
Knowledge), Varanasi, (UP), India. He has accomplished leading work on rhizo-
spheric microbes, soil-plant-microbes interaction, potassium-solubilizing microbes,
soil biological fertility, rhizospheric chemistry, and conservation agriculture.
Consequently, he has also published more than 50 research/review articles in
national and international peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he has published 4
books and 11 book chapters.
