We’re READING EDGE SMART
Every student knows studying English requires a lot of patience. Even
worse, some English books are difficult and boring. Fortunately, there is
a way you can change your perspective on learning English. Now you
can develop your reading skills in an enjoyable way.
The Reading EDGE Smart series will help you to improve your reading
skills. You can learn how to read with a purpose.
Each level of this series comes with one text book, one guide book and
one audio component. Each book is organized into 5 units consisting of
Introduction vocabulary and related questions. One of the key features of this series is
that it integrates many skills: reading, vocabulary building, listening and
writing.
This series also deals with a variety of unique and interesting topics,
and the readings are graded to the appropriate length and depth
depending on the English proficiency level of the student.
After reading, students will be challenged to guess the meaning of words
used in the passage, summarize the passage, and solve various types of
questions.
Students can listen to the entire script by MP3 or use the attached CD.
Students will broaden their English ability from reading to listening,
speaking and writing. This integrated approach will enable students to
dramatically improve their English.

The Reading EDGE Smart series covers a wide variety of topics ranging from teen life to
social issues. This series also covers academic and contemporary topics, which will
motivate students to study English. The real life topics will provide students with
knowledge and an enjoyable reading experience. In addition, passages related to social
issues will give them more insight into everyday life and help foster logical thinking skills.
This series has longer passages, consisting of over 300 words, which will help students
get used to reading longer passages clearly and confidently.

ingredients are combined to make a great soup. America is known as a melting pot
society because of the way various races and cultures tend to blend together. The
‘salad bowl’ concept is similar, but each ingredient (in this case, race or culture)
maintains its own identity, so races and cultures are mixed but not merged.
