In entrambi Schiavone è messo in mezzo con la sua persona. E proprio quando il fantasma della moglie Marina comincia a ritirarsi, mentre l’agente Caterina Rispoli rivela un passato che chiede tenerezza e un ragazzino solitario risveglia sentimenti paterni inusitati, quando quindi la ruvida scorza con cui si protegge è sfidata da un po’ di umanità intorno, le indagini lo sospingono a lottare contro le sue ombre.
