Meeting Reminders
• Welcome to our Assessment Training. As we work to improve our
safety culture, we want to take care of a few housekeeping details
before our session begins.
– Bathrooms and drinking fountains are located in the main
hallway to the left of the1200s and behind us in the back
corner of the ESC
– In case of an emergency, please listen to the directions being
offered by district staff
– Primary emergency exits are located behind us towards KHS
and back out the front exit towards the main parking lots.
Once in the hallway, follow the illuminated exit signs out of
the building
– We will assemble in the parking lot of the Credit Union

Cell Phone Courtesy
• We respectfully request that you turn off the sound
or set electronic devices to vibrate as a courtesy to
everyone. All calls must be answered outside of
meeting rooms. Thank you!
• In an effort to provide you the very best training, we
ask that you comply with this request. We will utilize
technology during some of our trainings this year,
but will prompt you when it is acceptable to take
those devices out.
• For longer training days, we will build in time for a
“technology break.” That would be a great time to
catch up on an email or text. 

Online Supervisor Training
• Reminder: Email sent regarding online
Supervisor Training
– This training will be an essential resource to help ensure
you and your students experience a positive PSAT/NMSQT
administration.
– You received a code to access this training.
• The access code is different from the code used to place an order
in the Test Ordering System.

The PSAT/NMSQT® helps students:
• Prepare for the SAT
• Improve academic skills
• With college and career planning
• National Merit Scholarship Program
– Students may be considered in grade 11
– An academic competition for students
• PSAT is used for the initial screening process
• The College Board has recently formed partnerships
with other scholarship providers so they can more
easily use PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 10 data to reach a
more representative group of eligible students from
high schools across the country

2016 Changes to the
PSAT/NMSQT Administration
• Answer sheet
– Additional fields and questions for students
– Email question has been simplified
• Students who test with accommodations that do not require
specific materials will test with the same green test booklet as
students in standard testing rooms.
• Supervisors will assign 2-digit testing room code to each of
the rooms where testing occurs.
• School codes and home-school codes capturing on answer
document has changed.
• May submit remittance once testing has completed.

New Testing Room Codes
• Box 24 on the answer document – highly
recommended for schools administering in multiple
testing rooms.
– Rationale for codes: Allow for speedier resolutions for
inquiries into any reported group disturbances for your
school.
• Assign each testing room its own unique two-digit
code and provide to associate supervisor on testing
day.
• Retain a list of the testing room codes along with
associate supervisors assigned to each room.
