This article examines the impact of productive zakat, infaq and sadaqah (ZIS) distributed by Baznas Yogyakarta on the growth of micro businesses and welfare of mustahiq recipients. Baznas Yogyakarta has distributed productive ZIS to around 200 mustahiq recipients over the past few years. The study uses a structural equation modeling approach to analyze data collected from 50 mustahiq respondents. The results found that productive ZIS had a significantly positive influence on micro business growth and improving mustahiq welfare. Specifically, the financial capital provided to mustahiq through productive ZIS was able to boost micro business activities and employment opportunities, thereby increasing economic development and welfare.
