Preface
It is a matter of pride that, the Annual Series of International Conference, called
‘SoftComputingforProblemSolving’isenteringitsfiftheditionasanestablished
and flagship international conference. This annual event is a joint collaboration
betweenagroupoffacultymembersfrominstitutesofreputelikeIndianInstituteof
Technology Roorkee; South Asian University, Delhi; NIT Silchar and Liverpool
Hope University, UK. The first in the series of SocProS started in 2011 and was
held from 20 to 22 December at the IIT Roorkee Campus with Prof. Deep (IITR)
and Prof. Nagar (Liverpool Hope University) as the General Chairs. JKLU Jaipur
hosted the second SocProS from 28 to 30 December 2012. Coinciding with the
Golden Jubilee of the IIT Roorkee’s Saharanpur Campus, the third edition of this
international conference, which has by now become a brand name, took place at
theGreaterNoidaExtensionCentreofIITRoorkeeduring26–28December2013.
The fourth conference took place at NIT Silchar during 27–29 December 2014.
LikeearlierSocProSconferences,thefocusofSocProS2015isonSoftComputing
and its applications to real-life problems arising in diverse areas of image pro-
cessing, medical and healthcare, supply chain management, signal processing and
multimedia, industrial optimisation, cryptanalysis, etc. SocProS 2015 attracted a
wide spectrum of thought-provoking articles. A total of 175 high-quality research
papers were selected for publication in the form of this two-volume proceedings.
Wehopethatthepaperscontainedinthisproceedingwillprovehelpfultowards
improvingtheunderstandingofSoftComputingattheteachingandresearchlevels
andwillinspiremoreandmoreresearcherstoworkinthefieldofSoftComputing.
