Preface
The International Scientific Conference “FarEastCon” took place on October 5–
8, 2021, in Vladivostok, Russian Federation. The conference was organized by 10
universities—Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU, Vladivostok), North-Eastern
Federal University (Yakutsk), Amur State University of Humanities and Peda-
gogy(Komsomolsk-on-Amur),FarEasternStateTransportUniversity(Khabarovsk),
Komsomolsk-on-AmurStateTechnicalUniversity(Komsomolsk-on-Amur),Amur
StateUniversity(Blagoveshchensk),VladivostokStateUniversityofEconomicsand
Service(Vladivostok),ResearchInstituteofBuildingPhysicsandFencingConstruc-
tions of the Academy of Construction and Architecture (Moscow), Economic
Research Institute of Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences
(Khabarovsk),andPacificNationalUniversity(Khabarovsk).
TheconferencewascarriedoutunderfinancialsupportoftheFarEasternFederal
University.
Theconferencerepresentsaninformationalplatformforaccumulationofexpert
opinion on projects and initiatives that are aimed at implementation of farsighted
scientific research and development; it allows to present scientific and practical
achievementstoawidecircleofresearchers.
Sections of the conference are of interest for the broad range of experts in the
sphere of development of innovative solutions and organizing events that increase
theefficiencyofeconomicandinnovativeactivities.
The international program committee has selected some papers for publishing
intheSmartTechnologiesandInnovationsinDesignforControlofTechnological
ProcessesandObjects:EconomyandProduction—ProceedingoftheInternational
ScienceandTechnologyConference“FarEastCon-2021.”
FarEastConisahigh-qualityconferencewithacompetitivesubmissionprocess.
For example, in 2021, FarEastCon only accepted 44% of submitted papers.
FarEastConhasarigorousreviewingprocessthatissimilartotheprocessesusedby
IEEE.Everysubmittedpaperandposterissubjectedtothisprocess.
The main criterion is a judgment of the degree to which the submitted paper
contributessubstantialnewresearch.

Reviewers rate the paper using a 10-point ranking scale and provide a written
evaluation.Thewrittenevaluationneedstosupportthereasoningbehindthenumeric
ranking.
Afterthereviewperiod,thereisadiscussionperiod,whereallreviewerscansee
