Workenvironmentaffectshumanproductivityandhisperformance.Theaimsofthisstudyweretoinvestigatetheeffectsoflighting
andnoiselevelsonhumanproductivityintheautomotiveassemblyindustry.Method.Subjectswere181workersfromdifferentparts
ofanautomobileassemblyindustry.Illuminance(Lx)attheheightof30inchesfromthesurfaceofworkstationandnoise(dBA)
werelocallymeasured.AlsohumanproductivitybytheGoldsmithandHerseyscale(1980)wasmeasured.Datawereanalyzed
byusingSPSSv20Pearsoncorrelationcoefficient.Results.Theresultsshowedthattherelationshipbetweennoiselevelandhuman
productivityisnegativeandsignificant(𝑃<0.05,𝑟=−0.178),buttherewasnosignificantrelationshipbetweenlightingandhuman
productivity(𝑃>0.05).Conclusion.Basedontheresults,inassemblytasks,noisehasanegativeimpactonhumanproductivity,and
lightingdoesnotaffectthis.So,inordertoincreaseemployeeproductivity,noisecontrolandreductiontolessthanthestandard
values(lessthan85dB)isnecessary.
