Liat Kozma is a lecturer at the Department of Islamic and Middle Eastern Stud-
ies at the Hebrew University. She did her BA and MA in Tel Aviv University, and
her PhD at New York University. Her fi rst book, published in Hebrew by the
Dayan Center in 2003, was titled Women Write History: Feminism and Social
Change in Morocco. Her articles and research interests focus on women and sexu-
ality in the modern Middle East.
