the border. Homeland Security Director, Tom Ridge, tells us we can't put troops on our side because of "cultural and political

A park ranger confronts two Civil Homeland Defense volunteers, Chris Simcox and Bill Dore of Douglas, Arizona, who have walked
onto National Park land through a gate that is not marked as an entrance to the National Park. We explained that we were not on any
patrol, only hiking. She asked us if we were hunting immigrants. We told her we were not hunting anyone, however at the
encouragement of the President we would report any suspicious illegal activity to the border patrol. Her response, "Well I am of
Hispanic descent and I don't think what you are doing is appropriate. I am going to detain you for questioning."
