Acknowledgments
I've written a few other books, but they have all been co-authored with
someone else. I discovered that writing a book all by myself is (shockingly)
double the work! However, even though I say I wrote this on my own, it is
really the product of a lot of collaboration.
My wife, Ellen, is an amazing mother and spouse. She loves our family
well and models what it looks like to be a good parent every single day.
She also made extensive edits to this manuscript that kept making it
better. To say I'm grateful to her is a huge understatement.
Frank Gaskill, Jonathan Feather, and my other colleagues at Southeast
Psychological Services are not only fun and cool people, but are also
among the best in the field. They sharpened my thoughts, helped with
the research, and gave me tremendous feedback throughout this process.
