We're Just Getting Started

For the past 100 years, students have been recording the history ofTroy
through the Palladium.
Troy University has always prided itself in being different from most
higher education institutions. Rather than just preparing our students for their
future careers, the teachers and professors at Troy prepare students for life,
opportunities, and the surprises that many graduates will face.
At Troy University, the teachers take time to get to know their students
on a personal level and help them in anyway needed.
Troy is known for providing an outstanding academic program,
supported by excellent student services. The combination ensures the best
value for students and teachers — the value of a Trojan.
Recently, Forbes Magazine ranked Troy University the state's leading
institution of higher education on its third annual "America's Best Colleges"
list and ranked Troy 16th nationally on its "America's Best College Buys" list.
The theme for the 2010-2011 Palladium is "We're Just Getting Started."
Troy University's tradition of teaching excellence has been around since Feb.
26, 1887. Across the years, Troy has been named Troy State Normal School,
Troy State Normal College, Troy State Teacher's College, Troy State College,
Troy State University and the current name of Troy University.
Even though Troy has had a few name changes, Troy's leaders have
never forgotten about progress and dedication to their students, faculty,
alumni and fans. The progress shows no signs of slowing down. There has
never been a better time to be a Trojan than now, and we're just getting
started.
