time and costs constraints. The book series, Applied Demography, provides a forum

public policy - as well as the infl uence of these settings on demographic methods,
concepts, and perspectives. The books within the series can be used as resources for

This work is the product of the 2nd Applied Demography Conference which was
held in San Antonio, Texas from January 10-12, 2010. We would like to express our
