NOTIFICATION
The 3rd January 2014
S.R.O. No. 05/2014—Whereas, the Government in Housing & Urban Development Department have, by
Notification No. 37413-HUD., dated the 31st December 2013 issued under Section 64 of Odisha Municipal
Corporation Act, 2003 published in the official Gazette on 31-12-2013 called upon all the wards of the Cuttack
Municipal Corporation to elect Corporators for the purpose of reconstituting the said Municipal Corporation.
Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred under Article 243-ZA of Constitution of India, Section 62
of Odisha Municipal Corporation Act, 2003, read with Rule 22 (1) of the Odisha Municipal Corporation (Division
of City into Wards, Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election) Rules, 2003, the State Election Commission
do hereby appoint the following dates and time for conduct of General Election to the Cuttack Municipal
Corporation :—

The Rules referred to above are as prescribed in the Odisha Municipal Corporation (Division of City into
Wards, Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election) Rules, 2003.
2. The Model Code of Conduct is applicable to the entire limits of Cuttack Municipal Corporation from the
date of Notification issued by the Commission and shall remain in force till completion of counting i.e. from
the 03-01-2014 to the 07-02-2014.
3. The Political Parties are requested to deliver Form No. XII latest by 5P.M. of the 18-01-2014 and Form
No. XI latest by 5P.M. of the 19-01-2014 to the Election Officer.
4. The office of the Election Officer shall remain open for this purpose on the 19-01-2014 and
the 23-01-2014 even if these are public holidays.
