S. R. O. No. 56/2007—Whereas in exercise of powers conferred under Article 243-K of
Constitution of India and Rules 30, 55 of Orissa Gram Panchayat Election Rules, 1965 ; Rules
11(11), 35 of Orissa Panchayat Samiti Election Rules, 1991 and Rules 13, 42 of Orissa Zilla Parishad
Election Rules, 1994, the State Election Commission hereby appoints the following dates and
times for holdingFresh Electionsto the Wards and Sarapanch, Panchayat Samiti Constituencies
and Zilla Parishad Constituencies in which No Nominations filed or all the Nominations were
rejected.

2. The Commission is further pleased to direct that the programme of polling and counting,
declaration of results, publication of names of elected persons in respect of the above-mentioned
Wards/Constituencies shall remain the same as notified in Commission’s Notification Nos. 5349,
5361 and 5373, all dated the 26th December 2006.
3. You are requested to issue necessary instructions to the B.D.Os. and other field officials
appointed by you as Election Officer under the Orissa Gram Panchayat Election Rules, 1965,
Orissa Panchayat Samiti Election Rules, 1991 and Orissa Zilla Parishad Election Rules, 1994 in
pursuance of Commission’s Order No. 3356, dated the 15th September 2006 and also give wide
publicity to the above programme for fresh polls.
