he has bestowed upon me throughout my life.
I would like to express my deep and sincere gratitude to my supervising
guide, Dr. P. K Surendran, Principal Scientist (Retired) and former Head of
Microbiology, Fermentation and Biotechnology Division of Central Institute of
Fisheries Technology for his support, guidance, advice throughout the research
