Zusammenfassung
Moderne Signalverarbeitungsanwendungen, wie sie in der Nachrichtentechnik und
Messtechnikverwendetwerden,beno¤tigensehrschnelleAnalog-Digital-Umsetzer(ADU),
was durch eine ra¤umlich parallele Anordnung von zeitlich versetzt arbeitenden ADUs
(ADU-Array) erreicht werden kann. Die zeitliche Verschiebung ermo¤glicht, im Vergleich
zu einem Kanal, eine Erho¤hung der Abtastrate um die Anzahl der Kana¤le im ADU-
Array. Leider werden die Leistungsmerkmale von ADU-Arrays durch Fehlanpassungen
zwischen den Kana¤len eingeschra¤nkt, weshalb sich diese Arbeit mit der Identi(cid:2)kation
und der Kompensation von Fehlanpassungen in ADU-Arrays befasst. Die ADU-Arrays
wurden mit nichtlinearen hybriden Filterba¤nken detailliert modelliert und analysiert.
Das Modell umfasst lineare und nichtlineare Fehlanpassungen und vereinheitlicht und
erweitert die bereits in der Literatur bestehenden Modelle. Es wurde eine neuartige
Vordergrund-Identi(cid:2)kationsmethodezurvollsta¤ndigenCharakterisierungvondynamischen
linearen Fehlanpassungen entwickelt. Eine Hintergrund-Identi(cid:2)kationsmethode liefert
genaue Scha¤tzwerte fu¤r die Abstastzeitfehlanpassungen. Zum Schluss werden in dieser
Arbeit noch leistungsef(cid:2)ziente Kompensationsmethoden pra¤sentiert, die den Ein(cid:3)uss von
Fehlanpassungen auf die Leistungsmerkmale eines ADU-Arrays signi(cid:2)kant reduzieren.
DankdervorgestelltenMethoden,wirdesmo¤glichsein,sehrschnelleADU-Arrayssowohl
fu¤rleistungskritischealsauchfu¤rhochgenaueAnwendungenzuverwenden.

Abstract
Modernsignalprocessingapplicationsemergingintelecommunicationandinstrumentation
industriesneedhigh-speedanalog-to-digitalconverters(ADCs), whichcanbeachievedby
employing a time-interleaved parallel array of ADCs (time-interleaved ADCs). The time
interleavingofthechannelsallowstoincreasethesamplingratebythenumberofchannels
compared to a single channel. Unfortunately, time-interleaved ADCs suffer from channel
mismatchesthatlimittheirperformance, whereforethisthesisdealswiththeidenti(cid:2)cation
and compensation of channel mismatches in time-interleaved ADCs. By using nonlinear
hybrid (cid:2)lter banks, we have modeled and analyzed channel mismatches in detail. The
model covers linear and nonlinear channel mismatches, uni(cid:2)es, and extends the channel
modelsfoundintheliterature. Anovelforegroundchannelmismatchidenti(cid:2)cationmethod
has been developed, which can be used to fully characterize dynamic linear mismatches.
Abackgroundidenti(cid:2)cationmethodprovidesaccuratetimingmismatchestimates. Finally,
power-ef(cid:2)cient channel mismatch compensation methods, which signi(cid:2)cantly reduce the
impact of channel mismatches on the time-interleaved ADC performance, are presented
in this work. Thanks to the presented methods, it will be possible to use high-rate time-
interleavedADCsforpower-criticalaswellasforhigh-precisionapplications.
