exclusively through student efforts. Increasingly, however, the Journal depends
on the support of its alumni and friends. You can become a Friend of the
Mississippi Law Journal by making a tax-deductible contribution to one ofthe
funds listed below. Checks should be made payable to the University of
Mississippi Foundation and mailed to Post Office Box 8288, University,
Mississippi 38677. Please indicate on your check to which fund you intend to

Robert C. Khayat Scholarship Endowment
The Robert C. Khayat Scholarship Endowment was established in 1995 to
honor the dedicated service ofRobert C. Khayat, a Journal alumnus, professor
oflaw, and current Chancellor ofthe University. Each year the Journal awards
the Robert C. Khayat scholarshipto a deserving member.
As ofJune 30, 2007, the corpus ofthe endowmentwas $81,696.18. Lastyear
the Journal awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00. The Journal
intends to awardlarger scholarships asthecorpus grows.
Mississippi Law Journal Endowment
The Mississippi Law Journal Endowment exists to ensure the Journal's
future financial stability. As ofJune 30, 2007, the corpus ofthe endowment was
$349,114.08.
Mississippi Law Journal Operating Fund
All contributions to the Mississippi Law Journal's operating fund help the
Journalto meetits mostimmediate needs, includingoffice maintenance.
