ThisvolumecontainsthepapersthatwerepresentedattheFirstInternationalConfer-
ence on Microelectronics, Communication Systems, Machine Learning and
InternetofThings(MCMI-2020)organizedbytheIndianSocietyforVLSIEduca-
tion (ISVE) and IETE Ranchi Centre with support of BSNL at ARTTC BSNL,
Ranchi,during12–13September2020.Itprovidedagreatplatformforresearchers
from across the world to report, deliberate, and review the latest progress in the
cutting-edgeresearchpertainingtosmartcomputinganditsapplicationstovarious
engineering fields. The response to MCMI-2020 was overwhelming with a good
numberofsubmissionsfromdifferentareasrelatingtoartificialintelligence,machine
learning,InternetofThings,VLSIdesign,micro-andnanoelectronicscircuitsand
devices,greenenergy,communicationsystems,signalprocessing,smartcomputing,
computational intelligence, agriculture cyberphysical system, and its applications
in main tracks. After a rigorous peer review process with the help of programme
